Why subscribe?

If you like reading my writing about podcasting but would like there to be more of it in your inbox, become a subscriber.

Subscriber Benefit One:

You’ll receive two extra weekly emails from me: a deep dive review into a single podcast episode I really rate, and a piece of analysis about the podcast industry’s latest conniptions. These are only available to subscribers, and do not appear on the free list.

Subscriber Benefit Two:

You’re joining a highly discerning group of people who like to talk in detail about the audio they consume. I regularly feature contributions and recommendations from subscribers who write in, in order to share them with the wider community.

Subscriber Benefit Three:

I’m generally quite strict about who I allow to “pick my brains” about podcasting — it’s my job, after all, and there’s a limited number of hours in the day — but I’m always available to PodMail subscribers who want to chat through ideas or share their thoughts.

What readers say

“Are you reading Caroline Crampton? You absolutely should.”

Nick Quah, Hot Pod

“Caroline Crampton isn’t lacking for an audience.”

Simon Owens, Medium

Also recommended by Buzzfeed and Stylist.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

$7 a month or $70 a year (sometimes less when I’m having a sale, follow me on Twitter @c_crampton to find out when this is happening). This buys me the time to write this newsletter. Your subscriptions mean that I can invest time in making it good, and possibly even travel to do reporting. If that’s a prohibitive amount for you but you’d still really like to support me in some way, send me an email and we’ll work something out.

What do I get when I subscribe?

The warm glow of knowing you’ve supported something that you value — and two extra weekly emails from me about podcasting.

Can I forward the emails?

When it comes to the free posts, spread them as far and as wide as you like, on whatever platform you currently prefer. Occasionally forwarding subscribers-only emails is just fine too — if you like PodMail, please help it reach more people.
